YouTube is all set to make things easier for people so they don t have to leave their couches while watching YouTube on TV. YouTube TV is rolling out the voice-control for it TV app and some users have started spotting it. There is also an Incognito mode to watch videos that you don t want to turn up on your videos watched history.
We have known for a while about the YouTube TV voice control feature, courtesy to the help page on its website that has been live for a while now. User can also control the YouTube TV app with voice commands using their Google Home in case they have one connected to the TV. But this new feature subtracts the need for a Google Home to control your TV with voice. The voice control feature is not available to all users yet, which just means that the developers are probably taking their time to try things out before the full fledged launch.
Users that have been given access to the feature can now spot a microphone in the app. Users need to give permission to it and then tap on it and follow it up by their voice request. There are only a limited number of voice commands that are limited to changing to a specific channel or show, besides navigating the app.
The Incognito mode was spotted by Android Police, who have written that a turn on Incognito mode option in the Account settings is available for people who have the feature.
Though the help page already exists on the website, YouTube hasn t actually confirmed the rollout of these features officially yet.
