Micromax-backed YU today launched the successor to its Yunique smartphone, the Yunique 2. For its price, the smartphone packs a decent set of specifications and comes with features like 22 languages support. The YU Yunique 2 also comes with Truecaller integrated on the smartphone for its users. Compared to its predecessor, its specifications have upgraded but it does stand against a range of budget smartphones in a highly competitive price segment. Some of these smartphones include Xiaomi Redmi 4A, Moto C Plus, Intex Aqua Lions 3 and iVoomi Me 5. Here s a comparison between all five smartphones on the basis of their price, specifications, and features for a clearer idea.
Starting with the YU Yunique 2, it is priced at Rs 5,999 which is the same for Redmi 4A and Moto C as well. The Intex Aqua Lions 3 is slightly expensive at Rs 6,499. The Yunique Plus has a 5-inch HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. The Redmi 4A, Moto C Plus and iVoomi Me 5 s 5-inch display has HD resolution. As for the Aqua Lions 3, it has a 5-inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass and DragonTail cover.
Chipset, RAM and Storage
In terms of chipset, the Yunique 2 and the Moto C Plus are both powered by the same 1.3Ghz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor. The iVoomi Me 5 and Aqua Lions 3 are powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1.25GHz quad-core processor respectively. Xiaomi s Redmi 4A comes out as more powerful here with Qualcomm s Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor. Speaking about memory, all five smartphones offer 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. Photography wise, the Yunique 2 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Xiaomi s Redmi 4A offers competition here with a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel camera up front. As for the Aqua Lions 3 it has an 8-megapixel camera on the rear and front. The iVoomi Me 5 and Moto C Plus both feature an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The Yunique 2 somehow loses here as it packs a smaller 2,500mAh battery compared to its rivals. The Aqua Lions 3 and Moto C Plus are both frontrunners here with a 4,000mAh battery. The Redmi 4A follows with a 3,120mAh battery and the iVoomi Me 5 with a 3,000mAh battery. Connectivity and OS
In terms of connectivity, all five smartphones come with 4G LTE and VoLTE support, dual-SIM support, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. On the software front, the Yunique 2, iVoomi Me 5, Moto C Plus and Aqua Lions 3 run on Android 7.0 Nougat. The Redmi 4A however runs the older Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
