Last week Yu launched a new LTE-capable smartphone in India, called the Yunique. The smartphone is priced at Rs 4,999, and its first sale flash sale will be conducted via Snapdeal at 12PM today. Yu, for the first time has tied-up with Snapdeal to put the Yunique on sale. Until now, the company had partnered Amazon India to sell the Yureka, Yuphoria and the Yureka Plus. Since its the first sale, the company suggests interested users to log in an hour before the sale to up their chances of getting their hands on the smartphone.
Yu Yunique specifications: It flaunts a 4.7-inch HD (1280 720 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor paired with Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
Also on offer is 8GB internal memory, which can be expanded using a microSD card. The smartphone also features FM Radio, 2,000mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
At this price point, the Yu Yunique is among the most affordable 4G LTE-capable smartphones available in India today.
