Yu is all set to launch the successor of Yureka tomorrow. The Yuphoria will be sold exclusively on Amazon India, and if teasers are to believed, it will not only boast better specifications, but have far greater build quality than its predecessor. Previous leaks suggest that the smartphone will come with LTE connectivity and on the software front, run on Android Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12. It has also hinted that the flagship smartphone will feature a 64-bit processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in memory.
The Yu Yuphoria’s Amazon page has also gone live, and is allowing fans to sign up to get updates on availability. In a one-of-a-kind initiative, the company had asked its fans to name the smartphone, and has now even invited designers to create themes and content for the smartphone.
In the run up to the launch, the company has been releasing regular teasers boasting about build quality and stereo speakers. The videos reveal that the smartphone will don steel frame edges, and rumors of an all metal body are also doing the rounds. The 3.5mm audio jack is situated on the top, and the speakers are tipped to be of stereo quality. It is also likely that the Yuphoria will sport the Dolby Atmos technology seen on the Lenovo A7000.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the smartphone is set to stick to the under Rs 10,000 bracket. With the Yureka, the company had targeted the Redmi Note, we wonder if the Yuphoria would take on the Redmi 2.
