Earlier this month, YU CEO Rahul Sharma announced that Yuphoria users would be getting software update that would fix a lot of issues. The company has now announced the gradual rollout of the OTA update, which should be reaching everyone in 2-3 weeks. The update is based on Cyanogen OS 12 and is identified by version YNG1TBS2P2. The 38MB update brings with it a host of bug fixes. When using the smartphone we found the camera performance to be below par, but the company says the update fixes it. The camera now takes sharper photos even when under low light conditions. The proximity sensor has been tweaked with a patch that auto calibrates every time the phone reboots. Other improvements include a more responsive touch, better typing experience, and an improved dialer. The company also says that it has enhanced the audio chipset, which will result in richer bass, sharper highs and an overall crystal clear audio experience.
As mentioned above, this is a gradual OTA update, and it will be reaching all smartphones in 2-3 weeks. The company has also revealed that an update for Yu Yureka too is in the works.
