Micromax-backed YU launched the Yuphoria back in May with a price tag of Rs 6,999. Nearly six months down the line, the company seems to be working on the successor to the affordable smartphone. A device with the name YU Yuphoria (YU6000) has been spotted on a benchmarking website. The original device launched earlier this year came with the model number YU5010, which is an indication that YU has a successor to the Yuphoria in the works.
According to the benchmark listing, this new Yuphoria smartphone features a 4.6-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display, 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor, Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone is also said to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel selfie camera, and 16GB internal storage.
To put these into perspective, the YU Yuphoria launched in May features a 5-inch 720p display, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core 64-bit processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It also features an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 2,230mAh battery and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots and 4G LTE connectivity. YU originally launched the Yuphoria running on Cyanogen OS, and in October launched a slightly less expensive variant running on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
There s currently no word on when we will see this new device, but in the meantime YU has been gearing up to launch its flagship smartphone called Yutopia. From what we have come across so far, the YU Yutopia will feature a 5.2-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 810 64-bit SoC, 4GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the smartphone is also expected to feature a 21-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera, a battery with Qualcomm s Quick-Charge feature, and the usual bevy of connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.
