Since its launch earlier this month, the Yu Yureka Black had been limited to flash sales via Flipkart. Now, the company has announced that the affordable smartphone will be available under open sales through the e-commerce site starting June 22. The Yu Yureka Black is a successor to the Yu Yureka smartphone that was launched in 2015 and boasts improved specifications and features. Yu Yureka Black is from Micromax’s online-only sub-brand Yu and is available exclusively through Flipkart. As of now, there are no sale offer on the smartphone. In terms of design, the Yu Yureka Black features a metal unibody design with a home button on the front. One of the selling points is that despite being an affordable smartphone, it features a fingerprint sensor that is embedded in the front home button. Yu Yureka Black is equipped with a 5-inch full HD 2.5D display with Gorilla Glass 3 on top for protection. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz and paired with 4GB of RAM. It further includes 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
For photography, it sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX 258 sensor. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is housed by a 3,000mAh battery. On the connectivity front, the smartphone includes dual-SIM support (hybrid SIM-slot), 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
