Registrations for Micromax-backed Yu s first smartphone, Yureka, opened last week on Amazon India. As mentioned above, Yu is a Micromax-backed company and it made its debut in India by launching a smartphone called the Yureka. The Cyanogen-powered smartphone is priced at Rs 8,999 and will go on sale via Amazon India on January 13.
To recap on the specifications, the Yureka features a 5.5-inch HD display, a 1.5GHz 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also features a 13-megpaixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB internal storage, microSD card support, and a 2,500mAh battery. As mentioned above, the smartphone runs on Cyanogen OS 11 based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
