The Yu Yureka went on sale for the third time today, and as expected things was over in a flash. The company announced that 10,000 Yureka handsets were claimed in just three seconds. Furthermore, the company has announced that it is looking to double up the availability of units in February, seeing the demand for the device. “In the month of February, Yu is looking at ramping up the availability of the device and will put almost double the amount of devices for sale to enable more Yureka fans play limitless with The Zeus of Phones ,” the company said in a statement.
For the lucky users who managed to get the Yureka in their carts, have only got 15 minutes to make the purchase. Users who do not get lucky for the first time, are recommended to join the Waitlist. The Waitlist members then get a change to grab the device, if the first-time lucky users fail to purchase it in 15 minutes. The last two sales saw the Yureka going out of stock in 4 and 3 seconds respectively.
To recap, the Yu Yureka has been launched in India for Rs 8,999. As for specifications, it flaunts a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 64-bit capability and paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also features 16GB internal storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card.
Furthermore, the smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,500mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on CyanogenMod OS 11 based on Android KitKat.
