The Tiny t1 measures 46.7mm x 21mm x 12mm and weigh merely 13 grams. Here to compete with the smartphones sporting big 6-inch edge-to-edge displays, a UK-based company, running a Kickstarter campaign has launched, what it claims to be the world s smallest mobile phone. The Zanco Tiny t1 phone has been launched by Clubit New Media last week. Tiny t1’s Kickstarter page clearly mentions that the phone is smaller than a credit card and just bigger than a 2 coin. Calling it as a backup phone, the company claims that it is perfect for joggers, runners, walkers, cyclists and those who take part in extreme sports because it s so compact it can go in any-size pocket. The toy-like device operates on 2G, and comes with a 200mAh battery, that the company claims is good enough to last up to three days on standby and 180 minutes talk time. In terms of other specifications, the phone comes with a 0.49-inch OLED screen with display resolution of 64 x 32 pixels. On the storage front, there is a 32GB of built-in storage. Other features of the phone include nano-SIM card slot, backlit T9 keypad, microUSB and Bluetooth.
In terms of pricing, the Tiny t1 is still a Kickstarter campaign, and will be only funded if it reaches its goal of $33,480 by January 19, 2018. However, the phone is up for pre-order for $40 (Rs 2,500 approximately). The phone is expected to ship anywhere in the world by May 2018.
