ZTE has unveiled a new smartphone in its Blade series, called the Blade A2. It is the successor to Blade A1 which was launched last year in December. The Blade A2 is available in three colors silver, gray and gold. Priced at CNY 699, which is approximately Rs 7,000, the Blade A2 will go on sale in China starting June 15. Right now there is no word on the pricing and availability of the smartphone outside China. The smartphone comes with all-metal body, and features fingerprint scanner, which the company claims will unlock the smartphone in 0.3 seconds.
ZTE Blade A2 specifications and features: The smartphone flaunts a 5-inch HD display and is powered by 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor along with 2GB of RAM. The Blade A2 comes with 16GB of internal storage. On the photography front, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and a 5-megapixel camera. The Blade A2 is powered by a 2,500mAh battery. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop-based MiFavor 3.2. Its connectivity options include 4G LTE, hybrid Dual SIM, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
