ZTE has sent out media invites for a launch event in Delhi on February 3, where it will be launching a new smartphone. The company has kept details of the smartphone under wraps, but going by the teasers and reports, ZTE is likely to launch the Blade A610 Plus. According to a report, the upcoming ZTE smartphone will feature a 5,000mAh battery, which coupled with the partial teaser on the invite is likely to be the Blade A610 Plus. Launched last year, the USP of the smartphone is the battery that is said to last for about three days. The teaser attached with the invite shows the back of the device showing off the metal body design, a square shaped fingerprint scanner, and a LED flash placed below the camera lens.

The ZTE Blade A610 Plus features a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 2.5D curved glass on top, and is powered by a MediaTek MT6750T octa-core SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of storage on offer, which can be expanded using a microSD card.
For photography, there’s a 13-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video recording capabilities, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE support, and the smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
Going by the international pricing, the ZTE Blade A610 Plus is expected to launch for less than Rs 15,000. In this range, the upcoming ZTE smartphone will face competition from the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and the Lenovo P2, which too boast massive batteries underneath.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display with 2.5D Curved Glass on top. Under the hood is Qualcomm s Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz. It comes with 64GB storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 comes with an 13-megapixel lens on the rear end. Up front, the smartphone houses a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Armed with a 4,100mAh battery, the smartphone comes with a fingerprint scanner which is located on the back below the camera. On the other hand, the Lenovo P2 features a metal unibody design and boasts a 5.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED screen. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and phase detection autofocus, along with a 5-megapixel front camera.
Armed with 5,100mAh battery the smartphone comes with reverse charging support which basically doubles it up as a powerbank to charge other devices. Connectivity options include dual SIM compatibility, 4G VoLTE support, OTG, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n, and NFC support. The smartphone runs Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
