ZTE has launched a new smartphone in China, which simply goes by the name V870. The ZTE V870 is currently priced at RMB 2,699, which rounds off to Rs 25,600 approximately. There is no word on whether ZTE would be launching the V870 smartphone in the global markets. The smartphone is available in dark grey color.
First reported by Russian publication Helpix, the ZTE V870 is seen sporting a metallic body with no presence of a physical home button. The smartphone houses a fingerprint sensor which is placed on the rear chassis just below the camera lens. Below the fingerprint sensor, the ZTE branding is visible. The power button is located on the left side while the volume rocker rests on the right side. On the bottom part of the smartphone, a pair of speaker grille is present with the USB port in the middle. The 3.5mm audio jack is placed on the top panel.

The ZTE V870 features a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display. Under the hood runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The ZTE V870 comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. In the photography department, the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. Up front, the smartphone houses an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling.
Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 3,000mAh battery. The connectivity options available on the ZTE V870 include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.1. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Prior to this launch, ZTE had unveiled the Blade Max 3 smartphone in April, which is also due for a global release. The smartphone is priced around Rs 12,900 approximately, and features a 6-inch full HD (1080p) display with a 2.5D curved glass on the top. The ZTE Blade Max 3 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz. It has a 2GB RAM paired with 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.
