Lenovo-owned ZUK could soon launch a new smartphone. Certified by TENAA, the smartphone goes by the name ZUK Edge and bears the code Z2151. The specifications of the ZUK Edge have also been revealed and going by the TENAA listing, it will also come with top-of-the-line specifications. Although many reports have suggested that it will feature a curved display, the images released on TENAA aren’t clear enough to justify this point. The images show the front, back and side profile of the smartphone. Looking at the front image of the smartphone, the selfie camera lens can be seen located above the display, with a home button below the display. The back of the smartphone houses the rear camera lens placed vertically with the LED flash. Down below, the ZUK branding can be seen. The power button and the volume rocker are located on the right side of the smartphone and the SIM slot tray is located on the left side. Speaking about its alleged curved display, looking at the images on TENAA, the ZUK Edge does not sport a curved display whatsoever.
The TENAA listing, as expected, also reveals key specifications about the smartphone. Going by the listing, the ZUK Edge will feature a 5.5-inch full HD display. Under the hood, the smartphone will have Qualcomm s Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor clocked at 2.35GHz and paired with Adreno 530 GPU. The smartphone will come with 4GB of RAM and internal storage of 64GB. There are speculations that the smartphone will not come with expandable storage.
In the photography department, the ZUK Edge will sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Up front, there will be an 8-megapixel selfie camera. For power, the ZUK Edge will be powered by a 3,000mAh battery. On the software front, the smartphone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box along with the latest version of ZUI. The smartphone will weigh around 160gm and will be 7.68mm thick. The listing also reveals that the ZUK Edge will come with 4G LTE support.
If we look back at reports from a couple of weeks ago, there had been a ZUK smartphone, which was spotted on TENAA with the same model number and the same set of specifications. In the previous listing, it was revealed that this ZUK smartphone will come with a 64GB storage variant as well. There is no official word on the launch of ZUK Edge but some reports suggest that Lenovo will launch the smartphone by the end of this year. It is also expected that the smartphone will hit global markets in the first three months of 2017. ALSO READ: ZUK smartphone with Snapdragon 821 SoC, 4GB RAM leaked: Specifications, features
