The ZUK Z1 that was leaked earlier today, has just been officially announced. The smartphone made by the Lenovo-backed company, is priced at 1,799 Yuan (Rs 18,300 approximately), and comes with the USB Type-C port alongside a massive battery. With respect to design, the Z1 boasts a metal frame, glossy plastic back panel, and a fingerprint scanner integrated into the home button up front. Coming to the specifications, the ZUK Z1 features a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 801 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM, and offers 64GB internal storage, with no option for expansion. On the camera front, the Z1 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It packs a massive 4,100mAh battery as mentioned above, and runs on the latest Android 5.1.1. Lollipop wrapped under homegrown ZUI. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, and the above mentioned USB Type-C port.
The company has begun taking pre-orders in China through the company website, but unfortunately, there is no word on when the smartphone will be made available outside China.
