Mahindra & Mahindra has revealed some news regarding its future with electric cars. The company has announced two new brands under the electric division. These two brands will solely focus on EVs. The two brands called XUV and BE. The company just showed us the concept cars but they will be launched in the coming years.

Mahindra showed us snippets of the new SUVs under the XUV and BE platform. The two brands have been showcased via five e-SUVs: the XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05, BE.07 and BE.09. The first four of these are to be launched between 2024 and 2026.

New INGLO Platform

The new SUVs under both brands will be underpinned by the same platform called INGLO. All Mahindra EVs will be using this very platform. It is versatile enough to adapt to different form factors. INGLO offers augmented reality-enabled heads-up display, edge-to-edge screen, 5G network capability and Over-The-Air updates and more. No matter, the size of the vehicle, the platform can be modified to take different shapes and forms.

Mahindra XUV Electric SUV

The electric XUV brand will be carrying the familiarity of existing models. In order to make the EV logo stand out, Mahindra is using a copper coloured Twin Peak logo with outline of neon blue. The new BE brand will have completely new products that will use the same platform but the design language will be completely different.

Mahindra Born Electric Powertrain

A platform can fit an all-electric engine with motor-inverter-transmission integrated into a single unit of the powertrain, offered with both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive. The SUVs will be able to developing 170-210 kW in read-wheel drive and 250-290 kW in all-wheel drive. Mahindra claims the SUVs will be able to go from 0 to 100 kmph in 5 to 6 seconds.
