Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022: Here’s everything Samsung announced today

Samsung hosted the second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year today wherein the company launched its next-generation of foldable display smartphones. In addition to that the company launched the Galaxy Buds2 Pro TWS earbuds and the Galaxy Watch Series 5 at the event. If you missed the event, here is everything that Samsung launched today.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is the successor to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphone. It comes with a 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED interior display with a screen refresh rate of 120Hz and 1300 nits of peak brightness with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. It also has a 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED external display. The next-gen Galaxy Z Fold 4 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor that is coupled with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage space. It runs Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1. On the camera front, the phone has a 50MP + 12MP+10MP rear camera setup with 3x optical zoom and 30x space zoom. As far as the front cameras are concerned, it has a 10MP camera on the outside and a 4MP under-display camera on the inside. The phone is backed by a 4,400 mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4_1

As far as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is concerned, it comes with a 6.7-inch full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 2640x1080 pixels, a screen refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 900 nits. On the outside it has a 1.9-inch Super AMOLED display. The phone’s display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor that is coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage space. It runs Android 12-based One UI 4.1.1. On the camera front, it has a 12MP+12MP rear camera setup and a 10MP front facing camera. It is backed by a bigger 3,700mAh battery. It comes in Bora Purple, Graphite, Pink Gold, Blue and Bespoke Edition, which includes Back-Yellow, Black-White, Black- Navy, Black-Khaki, and Black-Red colour variants. Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Watch5 Pro this year. This is the first time that company has launched a Pro version of its Galaxy Watch smartwatch. It also comes in 40mm and 44mm sizes and a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display with Sapphire Crystal Glass Protection, which the company says is up to 90 percent more scratch resistant compared to the Galaxy Watch4.. It also comes with a Titanium chassis instead of the anodised Aluminium casing. Both the size variants come with a bigger 590mAh battery, which the company says can last for up to 20 hours on continuous GPS usage and up to three days on normal usage. It features a magnetic D Buckle strap and it offers features such as turn-by-turn navigation, route recording and recommendations and importing preset route tiles among others. Samsung Galaxy Watch 5

Samsung also announced the successor to the Galaxy Watch4 today. The newly launched Galaxy Watch5 comes in two variants – a 40mm variant with 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display and a 44mm size variant with a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display. It comes with an Armor Aluminum case and the display comes with Sapphire Crystal protection instead of the Corning Glass protection – something Samsung used in its older Galaxy smartwatches. Samsung says that the Sapphire Crystal covering makes the screen 60 percent more scratch resistant than the previous models. It runs Google’s Wear OS-based One UI Watch4.5. It is powered by Exynos W920 that is coupled with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. What differentiates the Galaxy Watch5 from the Galaxy Watch4 is that it comes with Advanced Sleep Coaching functionality, which gives users personalised insights and recommendations based on their sleep data. The newly launched smartwatch also comes with Body Composition Tracking feature that gives users personalised recommendations and nudges to improve their overall fitness. As far as the battery is concerned, the 40mm variant comes with a 284mAh battery while the 44mm variant comes with a 410mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro

Lastly, Samsung also introduced the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro TWS earbuds today. It is the successor to the Galaxy Buds Pro TWS earbuds that were launched last year. Samsung says that it has decreased the size of the buds by 15 percent compared to the previous generation. It has also improved the active noise cancellation (ANC) capabilities by 40 percent. In addition to this, the Galaxy Buds2 Pro comes with 24-bit HiFi sound and 360 Audio that is powered by Dolby Atmos. It also comes with Offline Location finding and Notify when left Behind functionalities. On the battery front, each earbud houses a 61mAh battery while the charging case comes with a 515mAh.
