Multiple device support

Recently, WhatsApp has brought multi-device features for users. With this feature, users can connect up to 4 devices from one account simultaneously. This feature can be used even when computers, laptops, and smartphones do not have internet connectivity.

The WhatsApp payment feature helps you send and receive money to friends and family using the app. The payment option can be seen to the side of the attachment icon in a chat with a contract.

The Dark Mode feature in WhatsApp changes the display of all categories of WhatsApp to dark gray color. This feature not only gives relief to the eyes of the users but also saves the battery of the phone. To enable dark mode, go to the Settings section of the app and tap on 'Chats.' Now tap on 'Theme,' which is in the Display section, and choose between Light, Dark, and System default options.

Preview your voice messages before sending

WhatsApp announced on Tuesday to roll out a feature that let user preview their voice messages before sending them to their contacts. The voice message preview works for both individual and group chats. The instant messaging app released this feature for Android, iOS as well as Web and desktops.

WhatsApp Chatbot initiative to fight against Covid in India

The International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) launched a WhatsApp chatbot in March to prevent fake information related to COVID-19. Now IFCN has also made it available in Hindi to increase the reach of this fact-checking WhatsApp bot. This fact-checking bot of WhatsApp removes misinformation related to COVID-19.

Storage management tool

An improved version of the storage management tool has been introduced by WhatsApp, which allows users to check and delete photos, videos, and other files that have been forwarded in the storage management section. Users can also delete media from personal chats separately. Apart from this, there is also a separate section where files larger than 5MB can be viewed.

Group voice/video call limit increased.

The instant messaging app has increased the limit of participants in voice and video calls to 8 members. The feature is available for both Android and iOS users. Earlier, the feature was only available for 4 participants in the group and video calls.
