Upcoming smartphone launches in first week of January: Realme GT 2 series, to iQOO 9 Pro

Planning to upgrade? Leading brands including Vivo, Xiaomi, iQOO are bringing plenty of options next week that you can choose from. Here's the list.

Realme GT 2 series

Realme GT 2 series is set to launch on January 4. The premium lineup from the brand is said to be powered by the fresh Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. The company disclosed a few details including design, and ‘Ultra-Wide Band HyperSmart Antenna Switching’ with 12 antennas. As for the key specs, rumour mill suggests Realme GT 2 Pro is tipped to sport a 6.7-inch FHD AMOLED display, triple camera setup, at least 12GB of RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery.

IQOO 9 series

iQOO 9 series Pro is set to arrive on January 5. The lineup is said to introduce duo- iQOO 9, and iQOO 9. Reports reveal the new phones to ship with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip and feature a 120Hz refresh rate 2K AMOLED display. The Pro model will likely offer a 50MP primary camera. Both the devices are tipped to pack a 4,700mAh battery.

Vivo-V23-Series

Vivo V23 lineup will hit the India shore on January 5. The Chinese brand will introduce two new phones under its Vivo V-series, the Vivo V23, and Vivo V23 Pro. Vivo hasn’t revealed details about the new devices, but rumours suggest the vanilla model be fuelled by a MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset, while the Pro model could have a Dimensity 1200 SoC. The new series could house a triple camera setup with the regular model tipped to get a 64MP camera, while the high-end model will ship with a 108MP camera. Both phones are expected to have 44W fast charging support. The new Vivo V23 series is listed on Flipkart, which indicates the e-retailer to be the online partner to sell the new devices.

Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge

Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge is confirmed to launch on January 6. Xiaomi revealed the phone to come with 120W fast charging support which is claimed to fully charge up the device in 15 minutes. Reports suggest that the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge would arrive as a rebranded model of the Redmi Note 11 Pro .  As for the specs, the phone is tipped to have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 108MP triple camera setup, an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 920 chip, JBL-backed stereo speakers, and a 4,500mAh battery.
