MediaTek has announced a tie-up with popular game developer Gameloft for a global strategic partnership. Through this global partnership, Gameloft will fully support a wide range of mobile games and make them available on MediaTek s feature and smartphone platform solutions. Gameloft has also begun to allocate dedicated R&D team and resource for the development of games that will run on MediaTek s mobile phone platforms.
Gameloft, one of the leading game developers in the mobile space has announced that mobile versions of Men in Black 3 and Asphalt 7: Heat are slated to be released soon. Men in Black 3, is not only heading to Android smartphones, but also iOS. MIB 3 will be a premium free title which basically means that the game will be available for download on the Google Play market for free, but it will have in-app purchases, a form of monetization that is quite successful for Android developers. Men in Black 3 will release on May 25, concurrently with the film s theatrical release.
We have been massive fans of Gameloft's simple, spectacular (if you are not a "it-must-look-almost-real" type) and infinitely entertaining Let's Golf series, and have spent hours not just playing the games but also downloading their hefty versions on to compatible devices. So you can imagine our delight on hearing that not only has Gameloft released

We used to love the Tom Clancy PC titles growing up. Sitting at our computer, bag of Doritos, fingers moving effortlessly across the WSAD keys, eyeing the screen, and tapping our mouse to fire off perfectly executed head shots. Now, that’s possible on your iPhone. Tom Clancy’s Rainbox Six Shadow Vanguard from Gameloft is now available in the iTunes App Store for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Like the classic Rainbow Six games, your job is to lead a Rainbow Unit through 11 different missions as you work to rid the world of terrorists. You’ll start the game with Operation: Steel Wind where your goal is to take out a terrorist organization called “Free Europe” which has taken over the Belgian Embassy in London. Like other Rainbow Six titles, you’ll have access to a tactical map, but you can’t plan a route ahead of time. We usually prefer solo first person shooters, but we have to admit we had fun managing our team and telling them to take cover, fire on enemies, or lob grenades. Controls were easy and the graphics looked pretty stellar. We haven’t had a chance to try it yet, but there’s also multiplayer support where you can frag with up to ten other players, or go through the campaign with a friend in co-op mode. Rainbow Six Shadow Vanguard is available now in the iTunes App Store for $6.99.
