BSNL has extended the availability of its Rs 96 Vasantham Gold prepaid plan voucher. The voucher was introduced in Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles and it comes with 90 days validity. The plan also brings freebies which are valid for 21 days from the date of activating the plan. While it was initially said to be available till the end of March, has now received an extension. BSNL Vasantham Gold Plan: What does it offer?
BSNL Vasantham Gold plan is priced at Rs 96 and is available only to new, migration and validity extension customers. The plan is not applicable to those with an existing BSNL unlimited combo plan. BSNL is selling this plan in only two circles. In other circles, BSNL offers validity extension packs for prepaid users. The state-owned telecom operator introduced the plan as a way for its customers to extend their validity by another 90 days. However, it also comes with freebies that are valid for a period of 21 days. BSNL Vasantham Gold plan offers freebies such as 250 minutes per day voice calls to any network. This is applicable in home as well as national roaming circles. However, it does not include Mumbai and Delhi circles. After 250 minutes, BSNL will charge users at the base tariff plan till midnight of that particular day. During the validity period, BSNL users will be able to recharge the talk time plan of their choice. This is needed to make outgoing voice calls but incoming calls will be free for 90 days. After 90 days, BSNL users will be given two grace periods of 7 days and 165 days respectively. After the grace period, BSNL will terminate the connection and the SIM card will expire. BSNL Vasanthan Gold plan initially shipped with 180 days of service validity. However, the state-owned telco reduced the validity to 90 days. The freebies were initially offered for 28 days but were reduced to 21 days.
